my horoscope for this week from Free Will Astrology
Sagittarius
In my dream, I was addressing a crowd of Sagittarians in a festively decorated hall. It was the first week of 2008. “You are not yet ready for the wonderful things you think you want,” I told them. “To actually get them, you will have to change yourself in the coming months; you will have to shed some old conditioning that is interfering with your quest for success. Do you know what that old conditioning is? Find out NOW! Figure out how you need to transform yourself in order for the world to give you what you yearn for.
friday night
Scratchy throat.
That’s what I woke up with this morning. Not happy. Hello, post nasal drip. Where were you since September? Fiji?
I have a lot I want to do this weekend.
-Finish wrapping Christmas presents.
-Make truffles for certain person’s Christmas present
-Have Christmas with Dani and Family–omfg I got the cutest gifts for the girls!
-Go to Trader Joe’s. I haven’t been since the Fall. I miss it! Especially ever since reading shutterbean’s trader joe’s project.
-buy a new book. Any thoughts?
-make cookies. maybe.
Ick. I don’t feel well. I’m going to bed.

What’s up folks?
It’s the Thursday before Christmas and all my presents have finally arrived from etsy. The last one I was waiting on was from Northampton, MA–which is about an hour from here. The one from Singapore arrived one day earlier. Go figure. I like the Northampton one even better in person. I hope they are all loved.
SPEAKING of Etsy, this will be mine:
Merry Christmas to me!
What else did I do tonight? Made my Thursday-night-before-payday-dinner special: egg white omelet with vegetarian sausage patties chopped on top with a little salt and pepper and a nice squirt of ketchup on the side. It’s hella good. I’m bringing hella back,
I watched two episodes of ‘Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations’. He fascinates me. One of them was in Korea, which is getting my brain going about where I want to go in 2008. I didn’t realize I wanted to go Korea, but it looked pretty damn cool and I loved Japan, so maybe it would be fun. Will have to consult with The `Mo. Other vacations ideas include:
1. Chile.
2. India (yikes, it makes me nervous just thinking about it)
3. Australia (probably not–too many days)
4. Russia (perhaps? finally?)
5. France. Meh.
6. Korea, surprisingly.
7. Spain. Been to Madrid only.
8. Turkey. Hm.
So that’s eight. Anyone else have any other suggestions?
I’ve been fighting a migraine since 530 this evening while I stressed at work. I’ve downed a pot of tea and three Tylenol. It might be pretty close to bedtime.
praise the lord
PBS has finally ended it’s money-grubbing panhandling and is back to airing proper television shows–no more Doo Wop and Three Tenors and if one more week goes by without a Frontline, I’m going to freak out.
Finally, I can knit and watch Nova. I know–I’m eighty.
It is freaking freezing in my apartment. It’s 68 degrees but it feels like 20. I’m trying to woman-up and not turn the heat up over 75 because a.) I know people who have lived most of this cold time with little to no heat and b.) I am absolutely convinced I am not as big a pussy as I think I am.
I need to clean my apartment. It’s borderline crackhouse. Something could be dead in here and I would never know. What I really want to do is have some tea and curl up in bed and read but I wouldn’t be able to because a.) I’m not eighty b.) something COULD totally be dead in here and I wouldn’t know and c.) washing dishes is fun.
Kind of.
Geriatric, out!
